August 26th

Our student officers tell us about Ratio Christi as we get to know one another and prepare for the new semester.

September 2nd

We will discuss common objections and challenges to the Christian faith and ways of responding to them.

The Gospel in Apologetics

September 9th

Pastor Josh Levesque will lead us in a discussion of the central role of the gospel in apologetics, evangelism, and everything we do.

Reliability of the Old Testament

September 16th

Pastor Ken Allen will present on the reasons to believe the Old Testament. With all the crazy stories of dragons, sea monsters, and giants, why should we trust these ancient myths?

The Resurrection

September 23rd

RC Secretary Josh Norman will present historical evidence for the resurrection from the dead of Jesus of Nazareth in the first century.

Addiction & Recovery

September 30th

Jennifer Vermeulen will talk about her work in recovery ministry and how changed lives provide powerful evidence for the living God.

October 7th

Local missionary Mert Hershberger will present a theology of holidays, how we as Christians can redeem and reclaim our traditions (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter...) from a secular culture.

Was Jesus a Good Moral Teacher?

October 14th

RC President Robert Blindu will examine the claim that Jesus was a good moral teacher who has been mistaken for a religious rebel.

The Judeo-Christian Foundations of the United States

October 21st

RC officer Brooklyn Rupert will teach us about how our nation's foundation in Christian principles makes its success throughout history a testimony for Jesus Christ.

Christians in Politics

October 28th

RC Vice President ChaiNa Parton will consider how Christians should interact with the political system: Should people of the Church separate themselves from matters of State?

Have the Gospels Been Corrupted?

November 4th

Dr. Ryan Meyer, Professor of New Testament at Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary, will present on internal and external evidence for the reliability of the four Gospels.

Everything Presupposes God

November 11th

Dr. Mark Snoeberger, Professor of Systematic Theology and Apologetics at Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary, will teach us the transcendental argument for the existence of God from the preconditions for the intelligibility of the human experience: in other words, how we can prove God's existence by the fact that we need him for every area of life.

The Doctrine of the Trinity

November 18th

Dr. Peter Williamson, Professor Emeritus at Sacred Heart Seminary, will discuss the doctrine of the Trinity: How can three be one?
