*Our particular theological beliefs may be found in the link under Statement of Faith at the bottom of this page. In addition, here are some non-standard distinctives that may help you understand our unique 'DNA' as a university student club.
1. Faith and Reason are not opposites or mutually exclusive. Rather, they are compatible and symbiotic.
2. It is important to study, discuss, and promote their intersection, and to establish forums for this purpose.
3. Great thinkers such as C.S. Lewis, Dorothy Sayers, Thomas Reid, Greg Bahnsen, and Nancy Pearcy are exemplars and ardent proponents of the vital intersection of faith + reason.
4. As Christian intellectuals, they are representative of a long list of other such exemplar/proponents throughout history.
5. Christianity is reasonable.
6. The Bible is reasonable.
7. Reason, and a well-reasoned faith, are essential for properly interpreting, understanding and applying their teachings.
8. The life, miracles, and teachings of Jesus, Paul and all the Apostles as recorded in the New Testament are historically credible (not mythological) and worthy of rational belief, including his death and resurrection.
9. Reason is a gift of a rational God.
10. All reason rests on a foundation of axioms that must be presupposed, i.e. taken by faith...by everybody.
11. Reason helps us to identify them.
12. Therefore, everybody lives by faith as well as by reason.
13. God has designed reality to be intelligible to beings that exercise faith + reason.
14. Books, essays, and reading are lavish gifts of God, especially ones that affirm and coherently explicate these principles.
15. In addition to the Bible, books and essays that celebrate Faith + Reason deserve attention and wide dissemination.
